Annual Charity Event

PANGLOBE 6^th Annual Charity Event will take place on Friday 9^th May 2014.

This year, PANGLOBE will be supporting the Sophia Foundation.

The Sophia Foundation was set up in 2008, initially to create an orphanage in Kenya and to support children who were living in miserable conditions.

However, as the monetary crisis in Cyprus deteriorated, together with living standards for some, attention was also given to children in our homeland.

The Sophia Foundation, through its ‘I cook, I serve’ scheme, supports eight all-day primary schools all over Cyprus by:

1. Setting-up fully equipped modern kitchens
2. Providing free school meals for all children
3. Providing employment for mothers of attending school children as assistants in the kitchen and much more.

The Sophia Foundation survives through voluntary contributions and major sponsors.

So, on 9^th May, all PANGLOBE personnel will be going to the Khirokitia Primary School to assist in either preparing the lunch for the children, or demonstrating and helping the children to decorate muffins, which they will then take home. Finally, we will join the children for lunch.
